This emigration story can apparently be similar to many others: in the 70’s one a family decides to leave Borgetto, a small Sicilian village, looking for better economical conditions, and goes to the land of great opportunities: America. Actually, after much zeal and dedication, the Polizzi’s family succeeds to realize a dream: the father Salvatore becomes an important tycoon and the mother Rita remains the main pillar of the family. They perfectly fit in the new world which gives many satisfactions but requires, at the same times, many efforts and will.

Vito Polizzi, the scion of this family, is totally merged into the American society and is strongly attracted by its pressing rhythms and by all the opportunities he is given. He is just a guy who wants to break with all stereotypes and everything common in everyday life. Vito is amazed by music, by the American rhythms, but he lives a life which is simple and without those excesses or vices that, on the contrary, usually involve a great mass of young people nowadays. It’s surprising, in fact, what we can read on his homepage, as an evidence of his interior cleanliness: “… I don’t think smoking or drinking are an activity or a sort of entertainment, but I prefer milk, in cardboard and not in plastic containers”.

These messages seems more astonishing and surprising if we think that they are wrote by a modern boy, not an old man, who is obviously sage. He is a simple boy who lives in Detroit, a boy who loves his life and everything life can offer; a boy who loves beautiful things without considering them essential, who blames unnecessary things and is moved by a dramatic movie; a “clean” boy who defines himself, and we can trust him, “more honest than you can imagine at first sight”

Fulgurate by rap music, he is a very queer rapper: talking about himself, he says “I don’t dress in, don’t speak and don’t look like the other rappers”, as he comes from middle class and not from the typical suburban ghettos, characterized by frustration and social and usage heritages; he doesn’t shout his interior discomfort but he is an extraordinary singer and composer, inspired by the great Lil Wayne, that he celebrates in some wonderful remixes, and aligned against drug and violence. He is inspired by Eminem, Big&Pac and the conceptual rap, and he underlines how he evokes the lyrics only.

These extraordinary messages, that comes out from his texts, will be his charger when he will arrive in Italy, next March. The Polizzivideo agency of Borgetto, leaded by Pietro Polizzi, with his great staff composed by technicians, directors, cameramen, publicists and many others more, is working hardly to organize in a very professional way the first Italian performance of this fantastic singer, planning the artist’s stages and organizing the casting purposed to choose the protagonist of the video that Vito Polizzi will shoot in Borgetto and that will end with a great live concerto on 14th March.

Vito Polizzi, or VP (as he likes to be called) dedicated an ironic song “Ciao bella”, written in a anglo-sicilian slang, right to Borgetto, and the female protagonist who will side him, will be elected as “Miss Ciao Bella”.

The casting promo with the images of the italo-american rapper have already been on the air for some days on Youtube, on the Polizzivideo channel, and even on all the local TV channels. Vito Polizzi’s album, titled HypoCrite and already famous in Detroit, instead, will be transmitted by the principal radios.

This musical meeting in Borgetto, realized during this difficult period, wants to become a moment for diffusing positive messages among young people and for reappraising the territorial image.
